Internet map services such as Google Maps, Bing Maps and Mapquest make it easy to find a road map of an address. Finding the latitude and longitude (lat-long) coordinates of a given address is a bit trickier. Alhough lat-long coordinates are usually embedded in the URL of a map generated by online mapping programs, it is not easy to isolate them. There is an online tool that specialises in identifying lat-long coordinates from online maps, and you can use it to find the lat-long of a particular address.

Visit itouchmap and click the "Latitude-Longitude" button to access its lat-long coordinates tool.
Enter the address for which you want the latitude and longitude coordinates (the address box is near the very top of the page and is easy to overlook).
You can also zoom and drag the map of the world to zero in on the address that you're researching. This is useful if you know the streets but don't have an exact house number.
Click "Go." The map will display the address you entered, and the boxes below will display the latitude and longitude coordinates in decimal format and in degrees-minutes-seconds format.
