The Cateye v2 is a wireless cyclocomputer with a 2.4 GHz digital data transmission signal that eliminates interference and cross-talk. The device has several features and functions to assist with calculating and measuring different bicycle-riding aspects. Some of the outstanding features of the device include an automatic second-bike sensor and a programmable odometer. The Cateye V2 is a fairly simple device to set up and operate.

    Press the "AC" button on the back of the device. This will clear all previous data and initialise the device.

    Press and hold the "Mode" button to navigate through the main menu and select "km/h" or "mph" to the speed units you prefer to use. Then press the "Left" or "Right" button to toggle between selections. Press the "Mode" button again to make your selection.

    Press and hold the "Mode" button to navigate through the main menu, then select "Tire Circumference" and enter the tire circumference in millimetres. Use "Left" and "Right" buttons to increase or decrease the numbers, then press "Mode" again to select.

    Press and hold the "Mode" button to navigate through the main menu, then select "Displayed time" and press "Mode" again to select it. Use the "Left" and "Right" buttons to navigate through the clock feature and press "Mode" to save your setting.

Tips and warnings

  • There are only three main navigation buttons to use with the Cateye v2 Wireless; the "Mode" (centre) button and the left and right side buttons. These three buttons are used for every function of the device.
