You may want to locate a friend you no longer have contact with, you may want to contact an old crush or you may need to find a relative you never met before. Many free websites allow you to search for people using different criteria. You can search through first name and last name, you may expand the search to a specific city or state, or you may want to search based on the age of the person.

    Find a free people search engine on the Internet such as Zabasearch, People Search, Spokeo or Intelius. These free search engines allow you to search for people using their first name, last name, age, phone number or state. The search allows you to fill in as much information as you remember about the person to find any public information recorded. This search engines also allows you to register yourself on the website to alert you when someone else performs a search for your name.

    Type the name of the people search engine in the "Address" field of the web browser. For example, type "" Type the name of the person you want to search for using the first name and last name or first name, middle initial and last name.
