ZIP is a file format commonly used on Windows operating systems for file compression. A ZIP file contains one file or multiple files. Users create ZIP files to reduce file size. Files on your computer ending in .zip are a ZIP file that has to be "unzipped" or uncompressed to view the contents of the file. An incomplete ZIP file is a ZIP that has not downloaded properly, and it cannot open without repair. Download a ZIP repair program to fix an incomplete ZIP file so you can access your files.
