Socolor hair dye is a beauty brand that sells traditional blond and brunette hues, but also has vibrant, non-traditional colour dyes like blue, green and purple. Trying out a Socolor hair dye at home will save money over having your hair professionally dyed at a hair salon or boutique. You will need to make sure you properly mix the Socolor dye, however, to make sure the colour comes out as it should.
Put on some latex gloves before you start, to make sure your hands are protected from staining from the dye.
Pour two tablespoons of Socolor hair dye into a plastic bowl. Wash the tablespoon.
Pour two tablespoons of dye developer into the same bowl with the Socolor dye. Developer can be found at any beauty supply store.
Mix the two liquids together using a bristle dye brush, found at any beauty supply stores. Mix until the two solutions are completely incorporated, and there are no lumps.
Use the same dye brush to apply the dye to your hair, covering the roots and the strands. Leave on for 25 minutes, then wash the dye out of your hair.
Use an old bowl that you can throw out after mixing.
If you have sensitive skin, test a bit of the dye behind your ear to make sure you won't have a bad reaction to dyeing your entire scalp.
