How to Fix Corrupt MP4 Files

If a video file that you encoded in MP4 format does not play audio or video properly, it has probably become corrupt. To fix corrupt MP4 files, you can attempt to repair the video file. This requires downloading software programs to correct the issues with the MP4 file. Various MP4 recovery programs are available online to correct the video and audio errors of your video files.

    Download, install and launch Digital Media Recovery.

    Select your hard drive where the corrupt MP4 file is located and click "Next."

    Select "MP4" from the program interface and then click "Next."
