How to Start a Windows Mobile Application at Boot

Windows Mobile is built along similar lines as the desktop and server versions of Windows. This means many of the same options are available. Programs have the option of including code to start when the device is turned on. A user can also manually add a program to the start-up list. It's a good idea not to add to many programs to the start-up list since the resources of a mobile device are more limited than a desktop.

    Tap the "Start Menu," then click the "File Browser" application.

    Open the "Windows" folder, then the "Start Menu," and the "Programs" folder.

    Tap the icon of the program being added to the start-up list.

    Tap the "Copy" option from the "Edit" menu.

    Tap the "Up" button twice in the "File Browser" window.

    Open the "Startup" folder.

  7. 7

    Tap the "Paste" option from the "Edit" menu. The program is now in the start-up list.
