Norton Anti-Virus from Symantec is an antivirus program designed to protect your computer from malicious software. There are times you might want to remove Norton, because it can clash with the running of other programs. Manually removing Norton is not advised, since it is very difficult to remove in this manner and includes its components, such as the Norton Installer folder. To remove Norton and all of its components, you can run the Norton Removal Tool, which is offered for free by Symantec.
