Roasted nuts make a healthier snack alternative to chips or cookies. Dry roasted nuts require no additional oil for cooking. Dry roast any type of nut you have on hand. Roasting the nuts without added oil reduces the fat level of your snack while enhancing the flavour and texture of raw nuts. Prepare the nuts just before serving and enjoy them while still warm for the best flavour possible.

    Preheat the oven to 177 degrees Celsius.

    Scatter raw nuts into a baking pan in a single layer.

    Roast shelled nuts at 177 degrees Celsius for five to 10 minutes or until fragrant.

    Cook nuts in the shell at 177 degrees Celsius for 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
