The DAT format is used to encode video streams that are published on VCD. Since they are essentially digital videos, it is possible to convert DAT files into alternate forms of media like MP3. MP3 is a popular digital audio format that is widely supported by portable devices. Although users can install file conversion software to perform this task, some online services make it possible to reformat the media over the Internet. Movavi Online Convert and Online Convert are two online services that can convert DAT files into MP3 files. Both websites are free to use for input files under 100 MB.
