The iPhone is a cellular telephone, portable media player and pocket computer marketed and sold by Apple Inc. Apple has created an App Store that allows you to customise your iPhone by adding free and paid applications to your iPhone. Smileys sometimes called emojis are miniature picture icons that people use when sending e-mails, instant messages and text messages. The Smiley allows you to express emotion through the icon. Several applications are available from Apple's App Store that allow you to install Smileys on your iPhone.

Press the round button at the bottom of your iPhone's screen and slide your finger as instructed to unlock your iPhone's screen.
Tap the "App Store" icon and then press the "Search" icon. In the search bar, type "Smiley." Your iPhone will display a list of available Smiley applications. The App Store offers both free and paid Smiley applications. Generally, the paid applications offer a greater variety of Smiley icons. Select any of the listed Smiley applications, to display detailed information about that application.
Press the blue "Free" icon to install the Smiley application on your iPhone. If you are selecting a paid application, the blue icon will display a price instead of the word free. Press the green "Install" icon.
Wait for your iPhone to download and install the Smiley application. When the installation in complete you will see a new icon for the Smiley application on your iPhone's screen.
Tap the icon for the Smiley application. Follow the on screen prompts to download the Smiley's to your keyboard. This process differs depending on the Smiley application you are using.

- Once you have installed the Smileys to your iPhone's keyboard, you are ready to send a Smiley. Press the Smiley icon on your keyboard. A screen will pop-up displaying the available Smiley icons. Select the desired Smiley.
