There are several different models of Sony Walkman, some with just a tape deck while others accept radio frequencies or a built in MP3 player. Regardless of the make and model of your Walkman, you are able to directly connect the device to a 3.5mm cable. This is the same cable size as the headphone jack, but with the 3.5mm cable you are able to hook up the equipment with an outside auxiliary port on a car stereo or computer system, which in turn produces the audio through the car or computer speakers.
