VirtualBox is virtualisation software that allows you to run other operating systems within an already running system. By doing this, you can run software on your machine that is natively incompatible with it. So if you have Adobe CS4 and are running Linux, you can run Windows in VirtualBox and have the ability to use CS4 at the same time without making changes to your system.

Things you need
- Adobe CS4 disk
Open a new VirtualBox session. Wait for Windows to completely load up in VirtualBox before continuing.
Insert the Adobe CS4 disk into your CD-ROM drive and wait for VirtualBox Windows to recognise it. When the CS4 icon appears as a desktop icon, double-click it to open its contents.
Double-click "Install.exe" to run the file. This launches an installation wizard, which allows you to run the program from disk or install it. Choose "Run From Disk" to put less pressure on an already resource-heavy operation. This launches Adobe CS4 and allows you to run it in VirtualBox.
