Converting your GPX (lightweight XML data format) files to KML (Google Earth) files will give you better compatibility when viewing 3D maps in Google Earth. Using this program will allow you to convert these files easily and efficiently. You may use this program as needed to change GPX files to KML files.

    Navigate to one of the GPX to KML converter programs links below (see Resources). Click on "Download" and "Save File" to download the program.

    Open the software and go to "File" and select "Open." Browse for your GPX file and click on it to open.

    Select "Export Data on Map" and choose your type of KML file extension. Your GPX file will now be converted to a KML file.
