Play back digital music files on your laptop or turn it into a CD Player with a cable connection to a Sony shelf stereo, which is a compact audio system. A 3.5mm stereo cable connects the laptop with only one audio connection to the input on the Sony Shelf System, which is designed for attaching stereo mini-plugs for portable components including MP3 players, iPods and a laptop. Once connected, you can play back music stored on the laptop's hard drive or spin a disc in the CD-ROM drive for enjoyment on the Sony system.
