How to Reset a Digital Combination Safe

Updated April 17, 2017

Owning a digital safe can be a great way to safeguard your most valuable possessions. Changing your combination occasionally can also help enhance the security of your safe, especially if multiple people currently know the combination. Digital safe combination locks are unlike manual combination locks in that they were designed for the user to select his own combination. This makes it easy to change your digital safe combination without replacing the lock itself.

Open the safe by entering your current digital safe combination on the keypad followed by the "#" key.

Open the safe and locate the red reset button located on the inside of the safe door. The digital keypad will beep three times, indicating it is ready for the new passcode.

Enter your new passcode on the keypad then press the "#" button.

Listen for the digital keypad to again beep three times, this time indicating your new passcode has been accepted.

Make sure the passcode is something familiar and easily remembered. You user guide will also provide instructions for changing your passcode.
