Audiobooks are one way to enjoy popular books without having to carry around heavy paperback or hardcover novels. However, many audiobooks come on compact discs, which are fragile and take up a lot of space. Transferring the audiobook from the CDs to an MP3 player such as the SanDisk Sansa Clip can save a lot of time and space by storing all of your audiobooks on one device. You will need software such as Apple iTunes, Microsoft Windows Media Player or Nullsoft Winamp to transfer the audiobook to your computer.

Tips and warnings

  • The transfer may take some time, especially if the audiobook is very long.
  • Audiobooks are usually stored on the Sansa Clip under the "Audiobooks" section, rather than the "Music" section.
  • Do not unplug the Sansa while you are transferring the MP3 or WMA files, or you may cause damage to the files or to your Sansa.
  • Do not remove the CD while it is being transferred onto the computer.
