How to Reset Toshiba DLP Lamp Meters

Updated February 21, 2017

The "lamp meter" on a Toshiba DLP high definition television set lets you know how long the internal lamp has been in use. These lamps are finite and eventually need to be replaced after a certain number of hours. If you've just installed a new lamp, reset the lamp meter on the television set so you can continue to get an accurate indication of how long you have left before another lamp needs to be replaced.

Remove the power cord for your Toshiba DLP HDTV from its wall outlet. Doing so will allow you to enter the "Service" mode of the television set.

Press "Power" on your Toshiba DLP HDTV's remote control.

Press down on and continue to hold the "ON," "INPUT" and "MENU" buttons on your Toshiba DLP HDTV's remote control.

Plug the power cord for your Toshiba DLP HDTV back into your wall outlet. Release the three buttons you are holding down on the remote control; this action performs the reset.
