The Microsoft Word can display the readability statistics for a document. The available information in the readability statistics includes the Flesch Reading Ease score, the Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level score and the percentage of passive sentences in a document. If the document changes, you can reset the statistics and check them again in Microsoft Word.

Click the Microsoft Office button in the upper-left corner of the window and select "Word Options."

Select "Proofing" from the menu on the left side of the "Word Options" window.

Click the "Recheck Document" button. Click "Yes" in the onscreen prompt. The statistics will reset. Press "OK" to leave the "Word Options" window.
