How to Use Projector With Acer Aspire

Updated March 23, 2017

Connect a projector to your Acer Aspire for a multimedia experience. The projector uses a video cable to project everything on your laptop screen onto a projection screen or wall. You can use your projector and laptop combination to watch movies, give presentations, play games and surf the Internet.

Turn both the laptop and projector off.

Connect the video cable to the video-out port on your projector. Connect the other end of the video cable to the VGA port on your Acer Aspire. This is typically a blue, 15-pin female port.

Connect the audio cable to your laptop's headphone jack and the projector's audio in jack.

Turn your projector on, then power up your laptop. If the projector is not displaying the images from your laptop, press the F5 button to toggle the screen.

Adjust the focus and zoom on your projector and the position of your laptop for optimal viewing.
