The BMW X3 SUV has a clock at the base of the speedometer as well as on the radio display. If you need to set or reset the clock on your X3, for whatever reason, you can use the instrument cluster control buttons to do so. When you set the clock, both the car radio clock and the instrument panel clock are set and record the same time. This is a task that you can accomplish with no special tools in a few minutes.

Switch the ignition switch to "I" or higher.
Locate the two buttons at the base of the instrument cluster, to the right of the speedometer.
Press the button on the right and hold it for approximately 2 seconds until the clock colon flashes. The clock is in hour mode.
Press the button on the left to set the hour. You can press the button multiple times, if necessary.
Press the button on the right once to switch to minute mode.
Press the button on the left to set the minute. You can press the button multiple times, if necessary.
Press the button on the right. The colon will stop flashing to signal that the clock is set.
Tips and warnings
