Open the "Start" menu at the bottom left-hand corner of your computer screen. Hover the cursor over "Settings" or "Control Panel" in the subsequent drop-down menu. Select "Taskbar and Start Menu" in the new drop-down menu. The main "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" window will now appear.
Open the "Taskbar" tab in the new menu. Select the check box next to "Hide inactive icons." Click on the "Customize..." button in the bottom right-hand corner of the window.
Click on the NetLimiter icon and select "Always Hide" from the drop-down menu that appears in the "Behavior" column.
Click "OK." Once the window has closed, click the "Apply" button in the main "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" window, which still should be open on your screen.
