Avira AntiVir Premium products come equipped with a component called "WebGuard," which scans websites and blocks those which Avira categorises as phishing attempts, fraud, malware or spam. WebGuard also comes with a Parental Control option--if you purchased the Premium Security Suite--through which you can block websites or categories of websites. The free edition of Avira Antivirus comes with a "Guard" module that scans and blocks programs detected to be malicious. You can make exceptions in the program if your Avira product blocks websites or programs that you know to be safe.
