Connecting your PC to your TV this way not only upgrades the size of your monitor to whatever your TV's size is, but it also allows you to play high definition files from your computer to display on your TV.

Instructions

    Position your computer so you can easily access and see the VGA port. Plug one end of the VGA cable into the VGA port on the back of the computer, then plug the other end of the VGA cable into the VGA port of the VGA to HDMI adaptor.

    Position the TV so you can easily access and see the HDMI port. Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the back of your TV. Plug the free end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI port of the VGA to HDMI adaptor.

    Use the remote to turn the TV to "HDMI" component mode by pressing the "HDMI" button. Pressing the "HDMI" button displays whatever is connected to the TV through the HDMI connections.
