Keyboards come in many different styles, shapes, and languages. Most keyboards come standard with 101 keys. There are also other versions such as 102 and 06 keys. There are specific drivers you can download for certain programmable keyboards to map keys to perform different operations than what they are supposed to do. You can use the On-Screen Keyboard tool to detect a keyboard layout and see what each key is mapped to do.

Skill level:

  1. 1

Click the "Start" button, to open the "Start" menu.

  2. 2

    Click "Run."

  3. 3

Type "OSK" and press "Enter." The On-Screen Keyboard application will open, showing you the keyboard layout.
