  2. 2

    Remove the old batteries.

  3. 3

Put in the four new batteries. There is a diagram on the back of the battery cover that shows the proper way to place the batteries.

  1. 1

If the display is not working properly, or at all, and you have already replaced the batteries, there could be a problem with the console's wire harness. First, use a screwdriver to remove the four screws that hold the console in place.

  2. 2

Lift up the console, which will reveal the wire harness.

  3. 3

If any part of the harness is disconnected from the machine, you can fix it by finding the corresponding clip on the machine and reconnecting the harness to the clip.

  4. 4

Replace the console and use the screwdriver to replace the four screws.

  1. 1

If you are experiencing a rocking motion when using the Proform 700, it could be due to a bad alignment between the machine's two levelling feet. Locate the levelling feet on each side of the machine underneath the front stabiliser.

  2. 2

Turn each of the levelling feet until the machine appears level.

  3. 3

Get on the machine and see whether the rocking motion persists. If the machine is still rocking, continue turning the levelling feet until the machine is balanced.

  1. 1

If the machine's belt is torn or dirty, it could hinder the machine's functioning. First, use an Allen wrench to remove the bolts from the left and right flex bars. Slide the bars out and remove the brackets, which should fall right off.

  2. 2

Using a screwdriver, remove the two screws from the pedal discs on both the left and right sides of the machines. Remove the pedal discs and side shields.

  3. 3

Remove the two screws and one bolt that hold each crank arm in place. Remove the arms.

  4. 4

You can now remove the original belt by pulling it toward you and working it off the pulley.

  5. 5

Slide the new belt onto the pulley, and make sure the flywheel is in the same position it was when you removed the crank arms. Replace the crank arms, side shields, pedal discs and flex bars using the screws and bolts.
