If you have a series of dates stored in a Microsoft Word text file, you may want to add that information to your Outlook calendar. Microsoft Word files are not natively compatible with Outlook, however, so you will need to open the file with the dates in Excel before you can import them into your Outlook calendar. After the import is finished, you can add event details to each of the dates.

  • If you have a series of dates stored in a Microsoft Word text file, you may want to add that information to your Outlook calendar.

Open the Word file with dates in the Microsoft Excel program.

Save the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet as a comma separated value file, or CSV file.

Select "Import from another program or file" and hit the "Next" button.

Select "Comma Separated Values (Windows)" from the list of file types and hit the "Next" button again.

Click on the "Browse" button, navigate to the location of the CSV file you created and double-click on it.

Hit "Next," choose "Calendar" as the Outlook destination folder and then hit "Next" again.

Press the "Finish" button to import the dates into your Outlook calendar.
