How to Reset a Buffalo TeraStation

The Buffalo TeraStation is network storage device that is designed to harbour and share files between multiple computers. It's ideal for storing documents and files that multiple people may work with. However, if a virus or corrupt file causes issues for the TeraStation, you can reset it with the "Initialization" process, which returns the TeraStation to factory defaults.

Click the "Maintenance" tab in the TeraStation Client Utility.

Click "Initialization" in the menu that appears.

Click the option to keep the default password, if desired.

Click "Restore" to reset the Buffalo TeraStation.
