VMware ThinApp allows developers to package an application within a single file that contains a virtual operating system that loads and executes the program. The integration of the virtual operating system ensures the code can be run in a consistent and secure way that does not pose risk of malware to the machine that is running the file. ThinApp applications often supply status information via pop-up windows that can interrupt your application experience. You can completely disable these pop-ups by launching the ThinApp executable with a silent parameter.

    Click "Start," then type "Command Prompt."

    Press "Enter" to load the command prompt window.

    Navigate to the directory containing your ThinApp executable. Type "cd C:\Path\To\File.exe" without quotes, replacing "C:\Path\To\FileDirectory" with the drive letter and location of the file's folder.

    Type "filename.exe -silent" without quotes. Replace filename.exe with your ThinApp application's name. You will no longer receive popups when using your ThinApp Program
