I'm Unable to Open XML Documents in Outlook Express
Some attachments cannot open in Outlook e-mail. (e-mail image by Soja Andrzej from Fotolia.com)

Outlook Express e-mail attachments formatted in HTML or XML are stored in the Temporary Internet Files folder on the hard disk. When you try to open this type of attachment, Internet Explorer will step in and try to open the attachment from the Temporary Internet Files folder. However, Internet Explorer cannot open .xml attachments from that folder, so when you try to open one, an error message will appear. To open an .xml attachment file successfully, you need to save the file to another location and open it separate from the email.
