How to Turn Off a Smart Filter

You will find the need to turn off a McAfee Smart Filter restrictive setting when you are unable to access useful and informative Web content through your network. The Smart Filter security product is used by network managers to filter websites that could damage a network, or sites that host inappropriate content; however, Smart Filter may occasionally restrict reliable and forthcoming Web destinations. If you are faced with this type of situation, you can successfully turn off a Smart Filter setting on your network by using a proxy site to access the restricted Web content.
