How to Adjust the Computer Resolution to TV Resolution

If you want to adjust the resolution of your computer monitor to match the resolution on your television set (which can be helpful if you use both a TV and regular monitor in the same desktop or laptop set-up), you can do so in Windows. This does require you, however, to know the resolution on your television set. This information can be found in the unit's "Settings" menu and in its manual.

    Right-click on your desktop.

    Click "Screen Resolution."

  3. 3

    Click "Resolution." Slide the vertical bar until the listed resolution matches the resolution of your television set.

    Click "Apply" to adjust the computer monitor resolution to match that of your TV.
