How to Send a Free SMS to Iraq
Send a free SMS to Iraq from the Internet. (laptop keyboard with words I love you and red screen copyspace image by Anatoly Tiplyashin from Fotolia.com)

If you have a loved one living in Iraq using an Iraqi cell phone, you can send him a free text message from multiple different Internet services to share news, ask a question or let him know you're thinking about him, even if you don't have an international calling plan on your cell phone. Keep in mind that not all free online SMS-sending services offer service to Iraq, but a number of them do.

Instructions

  1. 1

Find an online service that sends free text messages internationally. Check to make sure the service has the ability to send a message to Iraq before you begin using it (see links in References).

  2. 2

Select Iraq from the list of countries you can send a free SMS to. This should automatically enter Iraq's country code of +964 for you.

  3. 3

Enter the cell phone number you wish to send the message to and enter your name or number if necessary. Also, select the phone carrier of the person you want to send the message to if the site requires it.

  4. 4

Enter the text of the message you wish to send, enter the site's capcha code if it has one and click "Send."
