How to Import a Letterhead Into a Lotus Notes Email

Lotus Notes is a software package from IBM that provides a variety of office productivity functions, including project collaboration, instant messaging and web browsing. It also includes e-mail that, by default, is "plain vanilla" without any ornamentation. Lotus Notes provides users a set of letterhead graphics that they can import to an e-mail to add a design element. Adding letterheads to an e-mail in Lotus Notes is a straightforward and easy process.

    Open your Lotus Notes program and click the "Mail" icon to access the email functions.

    Click the "More" tab at the top of a blank e-mail to open a pull-down menu, and select "Preferences" from the menu to open an options box.

    Click the "Letterhead" tab in the options box to display the available letterhead graphics. Scroll down the list and select a letterhead to see it displayed in the preview area. Click "OK" when you find a letterhead you want to use, and it will be imported into all your Lotus Notes e-mails from that point on.
