Resetting your Sonicwall Pro 1260 firewall will restore it to factory default. Only reset the firewall if you need to reconfigure the hardware completely or if it is not working properly. Resetting it causes you to lose all of your saved settings. You do not need to access the configuration page to perform the reset; do so right from the hardware itself.

- Paper clip
Disconnect all network cables from the Sonicwall. Keep the power cable connected.
Use the paper clip to press and hold the small recessed "Reset" button on the back of the firewall.
Release the button when the "Test" LED starts flashing.
Wait 90 seconds while the LED continues to flash.
