How to disable the launch manager

Updated July 20, 2017

The Acer Launch Manager service is a Windows service that allows you to use the special launch buttons while it is active. It is also a drain on system resources, and if you rarely use the launch buttons on your Acer laptop, it is probably in your best interests to disable the Acer Launch Manager service.

Open the Start menu and type "msconfig" into the Windows Live search box, then press "Enter". This will bring up a new dialogue box on your screen.

Click the "Startup" tab to display a list of all the programs and services that launch at Windows start-up.

Scroll down the list until you locate the "LManager" entry.

Click the checkbox next to the "LManager" entry to disable the Acer Launch Manager service. You may need to restart your computer for the change to take effect.
