How to Load Patches to the Roland D-50

Roland is a Japanese company which specialises in the production of electronic musical instruments, equipment and software. Roland products are marketed under various different names such as BOSS and Edirol. The Roland D-50 is a digital synthesizer which was released in 1987. This model has a slot available for a memory card - this allows you to store patches on the memory card and easily load them onto your device.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Insert the supplied memory card into the memory card-reader.

  2. 2

    Connect the reader to your computer via a free USB port.

  3. 3

    Download patches online and transfer them to the memory card.

  4. 4

    Remove the card from the reader and insert it into the D-50 - the logo must be facing upwards. The memory card slot is located on the back of the device.

  5. 5

    Power on your synthesizer and push the button labelled "Card" to use patches stored on the memory card.
