Listening to music on your cell phone allows you to play your favourite songs and enjoy the convenience of bringing only one device along on your trip. Sony Ericsson has a line of Walkman-enabled MP3 playback cell phones onto which you can store music from your personal collection. Because Sony Ericsson MP3 phones support USB mass storage, you can sideload music to and from your computer as desired.

  1. 1

Connect the Sony Ericsson MP3 phone to your computer through its USB adaptor.

  2. 2

Select "Media transfer" from the USB mode pop-up menu on the phone if prompted. Otherwise, your phone will automatically recognise the connection for USB mass-storage purposes.

Double-click the phone's memory card device icon in your computer's file manager. Doing so reveals its root directory.

  4. 4

Open the folder containing the music you wish to put onto the phone in a separate file manager window.

  5. 5

Drag and drop the music files or folders from their window into the phone's "Music" folder.

Right-click the phone's device icon and select "Eject" or "Safely Remove Device" to disconnect.
