The SonicWALL TZ 180 wireless router is a Unified Threat Management (UTM) platform, which means it offers protection from many forms of malware. The router combines a firewall with antivirus and anti-spyware software, as well as content filtering. Resetting the TZ 180 is simple and allows the user to troubleshoot configuration issues.

Instructions

    Connect the router to your computer. Wait for the "Test LED" light to disappear.

    Locate the "Reset" button, which is set back into a small hole next to the power cable output.

  3. 3

    Hold down the "Reset" button for 10 seconds using the screwdriver or paper clip. When the "Test LED" light on the front of the router begins to blink, the modem is reset to "Safe Mode," where problems can be diagnosed and the connection can be reconfigured.
