How to Sync Sony TVs with BRAVIA

BRAVIA Sync technology allows you to use HDMI cable to connect the Sony BRAVIA HDMI TV with other Sony HDMI products such as home entertainment systems, Sony Blue-ray players and Sony Handycams, so that they all can be controlled from the same remote control.

  • Sony HDMI equipment to be synced
  • Sony BRAVIA Remote Control
  • HDMI cable

    Turn off your Sony TV and any other Sony equipment you wish to connect via BRAVIA Sync.

    Connect an HDMI cable into an available HDMI port on your Sony Bravia TV and the other end to an available HDMI port on the equipment to be synced.

    Turn on your TV and press the "Home" button on your remote control. Scroll over to "Settings."

    Scroll down to HDMI settings and select "HDMI Control." Turn on "HDMI Control."

  5. 5

    Press the "Return" button and select "Device Auto Power." Turn the "Device Auto Power" on in order to enable "HDMI Control" to turn off automatically when TV turns off.
