The Camry is one of Toyota's more popular sedan models because it is a sturdy and reliable car. Routine maintenance will help extend the life of your Camry and keep it in perfect working order. You do not have to be a mechanic to perform some routine maintenance such as changing your oil or replacing burnt out light bulbs. Check your lights regularly to ensure they are working. When replacing the number plate bulbs on your Camry, some light disassembly is required to access them.

Open the boot of the Camry, and fold down the boot liner to gain access to the tail light panel.
Loosen the screws of the tail light assembly. Pry the fasteners free to reach the number plate assembly.
Turn the number plate light counterclockwise using a wrench. The light bulb socket housing should pull out once it has been released.
Remove the light bulb from the socket, and replace it with the new bulb. When performing routine car maintenance such as this, it is best to change both of the bulbs at the same time to prevent having to open up the light assembly again in the near future to replace the other bulb.
Test the bulb to make sure it is working properly. Turn on the Camry's lights to make sure the new bulbs are lit before reassembling.
Put the light bulb socket housing back through the rear of the boot into the tail light assembly.
Tighten the bulb housing and replace tail light assembly cover. Screw all of the fasteners in tightly.
Replace the boot liner and close the boot.
