Adobe Digital Edition is a free electronic book reader that you download onto your computer. The software uses your Adobe user ID to make your books and other digital publications portable, and you may read them on up to six computers at one time. To remove the software from one machine, you should first deactivate your Adobe account. If you purchase a new computer, for example, that means your old computer will no longer count toward your maximum number of authorised machines.
