"Diablo 2" is a computer game where players select from one of seven classes, such as a Druid, a Necromancer or a Barbarian to venture into mysterious dungeons, kill monsters and collect treasures. "Farming" for items means you are maximising your magical items drop rate as high as possible through armours, weapons, gems and runes. In fact, farming is completely dependent upon your magic drop rate. The higher your magic drop rate, the better items you will be able to pick up. You must kill enemies to have them drop items, so before attempting to farm, make sure you've reached at least level 30.

Skill level:

  1. 1

Collect charms and add them to your inventory. Charms are helpful because you do not have to equip them, and they add a hefty percentage to your magic drop rate. For example, a perfect Gheed's Fortune Grand Charm boosts your magic drop rate by 40 per cent, and every Small Charm increases it by seven per cent. The former is hard to come by; the latter is not difficult to obtain.

  2. 2

Obtain accessories that increase your magic drop rate. For example, Magic Fortuitous Rings of Fortune increase your rate by 40 per cent each (an 80 per cent total increase because you can wear two rings), while a Magic Fortuitous Amulet of Luck increases your drop rate by 50 per cent. That is a 130 per cent total increase in magic drop rate.

  3. 3

Wear small equipment that boosts your magic drop rate. For example, the Unique Chain Gloves: Chance Guards give you a boost of 40 per cent; the War Traveler boots increase your rate by 50 per cent; and the Unique Goldwrap Heavy Belt gives you a 30 per cent increase.

  4. 4

Gather any other equipment you may want that increases your magic drop rate. For example, the Moser's Blessed Circlet increases your rate by 50 per cent; the Griswold's Valor Helm ups the rate 80 per cent; and the Unique Sword: Blade of Ali Baba boosts your magic drop rate by a whopping 159 per cent. This is 289 per cent total increase in your magic drop rate.

  5. 5

Spend time exploring the land and killing creatures you encounter, as many as possible. When an item is dropped, see whether it is white or yellow when highlighted. A white highlight indicates a normal item, while a yellow highlight indicates a magical item. Save any magical items you come across by placing them in your inventory or safe.
