  1. 1

Make sure the software that came packaged with your Logitech G15 keyboard is installed on your hard drive. You can use the installation CD or download the program from Logitech's website.

  2. 2

Start the Logitech G-series Key Profiler program. This program will allow you to program and control all the macro keys on your keyboard. Once you set the keys using this process, you can always change them using this program later.

  3. 3

Click on one of the "M" buttons in the upper right corner. These mode buttons will allow you to program a different set of keys for each macro button. This will allow you to program the macro buttons for one purpose using M1, and a different purpose for M2 and M3. For now, click the M1 button to begin programming for this mode.

  4. 4

Click on the button you want to program. Click the "G1" button first. A menu will drop down with several options.

  5. 5

Select "Assign keystroke" if you want to program in one key; for instance, the "F4" button. Select "Assign macro" if you want to program a combination of keys; for instance, if a specific move in a game requires several keystrokes in a row. Select "Assign function" to program the macro key to open a program such as e-mail or the calculator. Select "Assign shortcut" to make the button open a specific program such as Firefox.

  6. 6

Enter in the key, combination of keys or shortcut and click "OK" once you select which function you want to program. The macro button you selected will now be programmed for that purpose.

  7. 7

Repeat the process for each macro button you wish to program. Once all keys are finished, you can select a different mode button to program the keys for a different function. This gives you several different ways to program the macro buttons on your keyboard.
