Although the Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) is made to connect directly to your television. you can plug the video game system into a laptop computer. Your laptop computer must have a video "In" port. With a standard computer monitor you can plug the device directly into the monitor, bypassing the use of the computer system, however, with the laptop monitor attached to the computer you must install the video "In" port and provided software.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Connect the TV video card to the laptop computer through the provided USB cable.

  2. 2

    Insert the driver installation CD into the laptop. Follow the brief set of prompts when the installation wizard loads. Once complete, remove the CD and insert the software installation CD. Accept the license agreement and follow the prompts to install the software.

    Connect the provided RCA cables into the "Video Out" port on the back side of the Sony PlayStation 3. Plug the yellow cable into the "Video In" port on the computer. If you want the audio connect the red and white cables also.

  4. 4

    Power on the Sony PlayStation 3 and launch the television software. The contents of the PS3 appears on the laptop screen.
