Hewlett-Packard designed the Compaq Presario 2100 notebook for entertainment purposes, as well as to help you increase your productivity at work, home or school with faster wireless network speeds. Although you only have the Windows XP Home edition operating system to work with, you receive choices of hard drives from 20GB to 60GB, as well as four processor choices. Knowing how to reset your Compaq Presario 2100 notebook also helps save you time, so you can quickly return to your work projects and games.

Instructions

    Press the "Control," "Alt" and "Delete" keys simultaneously on your Compaq keyboard. This procedure brings up the Windows Security dialogue box, which gives you the options to log off or shut down your computer.

    Press the power button to restart your notebook.

Tips and warnings

  • You cannot operate Windows Vista or Windows 7 on your Compaq Presario 2100 notebook. If you try to install Vista, you may lose your data or your notebook may not operate at all.
