How to Clean a Cartier Watch

Updated February 21, 2017

Cartier is a luxury jewellery and watchmaker. Cartier watches, or timepieces, are manufactured for men and women. The watches can be manufactured out of leather, steel, gold, platinum, titanium and palladium. Regardless of what the watch is made from and whether the watch is waterproof or not, Cartier recommends cleaning the watches only with a soft, clean cloth. Do not use water or any cleaning products on the watch.

Lay a soft, dry towel on a table or flat surface.

Lay the watch flat, face down, on the surface.

Rub the backside of the Cartier watch using a soft, dry cloth. Move each link on the watchband to clean around and between each link. Use a circular, buffing motion for hard-to-clean areas.

Flip the watch so the front side is facing upward. Repeat the process.
