Whether you are using an HTC Touch Pro, a Droid Incredible, a Desire or any one of the many other HTC smart phones, your operating system should support the synchronisation of your handset’s contact directory with the contacts stored on Windows Outlook or Outlook Express. The process mainly depends on which operating system you are running on your computer. If you are running an older version of Windows and using the Windows Mobile operating system on your HTC smart phone, you will most likely use ActiveSync. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 on your computer, you will need to use Windows Mobile Device Center to synchronise your contacts. Alternatively, if you are running Google’s Android operating system on your HTC device, you will need to download the HTC Sync program to synchronise your contacts. Either way, once you figure out which synchronisation applications you will need, the process of synchronising your phone’s contacts with your computer’s is a fast and simple process.
