A dodecahedron is a regular geometric solid formed by 12 pentagonal faces, 20 vertices and 30 edges. It is one of the five geometric solids that can be made using a single regular polygon for the face while having the same number of these polygons meet at the corners. Dodecahedra are frequently used in modern role-playing games as 12-sided dice.
