Take the battery out of your Nokia 1200. You'll find the phone's IMEI number In the battery compartment. Write this number down.
Call your current provider and ask for the unlock code for your phone. The service rep will ask for the IMEI number to access the code. If your current provider refuses to give you the unlock code, there are several websites that offer free unlock codes for your phone.
